SUBJECT(S): Angels adoring the Crucifixion
CRITICAL NOTES: C. Pirina cites several analogies with thePassion Scenes
painted by Pietro da Velate to complete the New Testament window (originally in window sII, now trasferred to window sXVI). She further believes that these angels and the others (see files Duomo Museo 2, 4, 5) crowned the grandiose Crucifixion. For the history of the New Testament window in the apse, see file Duomo 4.
CONDITION: This panel is composed of assorted fragments (wings, heads, arms..) from several panels of the same series.
